HOW TO BECOME POPULAR IN GEOMETRY DASH

HOW TO BECOME POPULAR IN GEOMETRY DASH

Hey you! Are you a Geometry Dash YouTuber? Yeah! Do you enjoy making videos for you fans? Yeah! Well shut up because your eight subscribers will get you nowhere! I’m GD Punctuation and today I’ll be teaching you how to become that famous GD channel you’ve always wanted to be! First thing you need is a channel name and profile photo that stands out from the rest! Pick or come up with a name that you want to be called by. Don’t forget to add GD or GMD to it! Also, try to think of something unique, or you’ll be stuck with a name like Colon. (seriously, I remove the GD from my name and the search results are NASTY). Congratulations! That’s your name now! Also, if your name is more than two or three words, you might as well give up now. for the love of god

.

don’t do this. or this. or this. Now get yourself a nifty GD icon that everyone will recognize. Be careful with this step, because everyone will be upset if you change it. Luckily, there’s a really easy way to pick an icon. Play some gauntlets and obtain five of each power shard. Now click this one. There you go, that’s your icon and you’re not changing it. Now for the profile photo! Try to think of something that really captures your channel. Make something as original and unique as possib- pfft i’m just kidding. idk just grab your icon or something, chuck it in... this thing and there you go. Oh and don’t forget to GFX the hell out of it. With your channel set up, we can finally get to the videos! The easiest way to get the ball rolling is to make a creative video that people will find interesting and click on. But that… that takes effort

.

So let’s just record some levels and upload those instead. Don’t worry, we’ll go over both in this video. Get yourself a screen recorder that doesn’t suck - hint hint - and pick a level to record. Try to pick something a little less known because nobody will watch a video on a level thousands of people already recorded. If you want those sweet, sweet views, try playing levels that fall under the following categories: Bossfight, V2, Minigame, Recreation, 2.2, or a modified original level. For the video title, exaggerate how AMAZING of an experience the level was. The best level ever? The most amazing thing ever made? A level that didn’t feel like Geometry Dash? Put it all there! Oh, and don’t forget to remind your viewers what the name of your channel is! For the thumbnail, you want to show the juiciest part of the level, even if it’s only there for one or two seconds

.

If there’s nothing exciting, just make it look like there is. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! If your level is even remotely related to one of the official GD levels, your video may be eligible for the most effective form of clickbait in the community. You see, studies show that the eight year olds that make up the Geometry Dash community are more likely to click on thumbnails that look like THIS than videos that look like THIS. So allow me to step you through making that

.

Get a screenshot of one of the official levels, and stick it into an image editor like paint dot net. Simply change the level name, or add what’s necessary, and you’re done. Just kidding, we’re going a step further. Change the difficulty face. Raise the numbers. Add a million filters. Add this particular RobTop face. And your thumbnail is now complete. Actually, one more thing. There we go. Now all you gotta do its repeat this process and you’ll be YouTube famous before you know it. Thank me later

.

But you know what? Uploading levels is no fun. Let’s be a little more original here and see how it goes. Come up with neat idea for a video. It could be a top ten, a tutorial, a parody, level requests… anything. Or if you’re at a complete block, just steal someone else’s idea. FIVE MILLION VIEWS. FIVE. MOTHER. Got it? Sweet, now record all the footage you need for the video, or just YouTube to mp4 it. Next… we edit. Oh, brother. If you’re an apple user, you guys get iMovie, which should be good enough. However, it’s a little tougher for the Windows users . Most good editors are payed, so it’s hard to find a decent one without a watermark for free But you can always play the Filmora card if you must. Let’s get to work. Edit the clips together and add some text to tell your little story

.

Or in this case, top ten list. This could be done in any way, whether it looks like this or this Why, you ask? Because the whole community is all toddlers, they couldn’t care less! Want to up your coolness a little? Get yourself a loud and obnoxious intro unrelated to the kind of content you post in any way

.

You can use it to flex how serious you are about this YouTube thing. Now all that’s left is to find an eye catching part of the video, and that's your thumbnail. Maybe you can exaggerate it a little Uh oh, what’s this? Not getting enough views or subscribers? Try an exposal video! Find someone with like two subscribers who obviously hacks and make it sound like the end of the world. And no, you don’t need to know what the word expose actually means. Still need a sub boost? All you have to do is quit! Make a video about how you’re never uploading a video again and change all your GD icons to black. Not only will word spread around the internet, but everyone will subscribe to you to get notified just in case you DO come back, which is usually in a week or two

.

And with all that being said, your channel should be huge now regardless of how awful your videos are, all thanks to the power of little children with low standards. But there’s oooone thing I forgot to mention. There is no end to Geometry Dash. More levels release every day, and there will never be a point at which you “beat the game" That’s right, once you jump into the rabbit hole you can never pull yourself out. Any other content you try to bring to the channel will flop. Expect death threats if you try to leave. Switching over to Fortnite? You’re as good as screwed. Because nobody. NOBODY. leaves the Geometry Dash community. nobody... Thanks for watching and I’m excited to see all your VidCon panels.
